Adding to the Blue Fusion line of web-enabled automation controllers, the Model 5200 features a built-in web server that allows users to securely monitor, control, and upgrade processes via the Internet. A single system can now control up to 192 I/O points and up to six axes of motion with multi-unit expansion racks available for larger applications. The controller supports bi-directional email that lets it send alerts or production data via an email message. Users can also send an email to the controller with custom instructions to modify its operation. Protocol support includes UDP, TCP/IP, HTTP, Modbus master/slave TCP, and DHCP. Additionally, the Model 5200 can be set up as an FTP server for upgrades, support, or for propagating controls. CONTROL TECHNOLOGY CORP., Hopkinton, MA. (888) 818-2600.
