A new video server has been developed for live video and audio transmission over an Ethernet or the Internet using TCP/IP. The R-VIP T video server is designed to deliver complete video, audio and control data over Ethernets in harsh industrial environments, with web-based management over the Internet. With an operating temperature range of 0°C to 55°C, the compact, DIN-rail mountable R-VIP T is ideal for remote monitoring, traffic assessment, and control and documentation of manufacturing processes. The R-VIP T supports multi-casting, enabling simultaneous video and audio transmission to multiple receivers over the same network. The new server supports ITU-T standard H.323, achieving full-color, high-resolution video images to be transmitted at up to 30 images per second, in addition to being compatible with video conferencing systems. And video streams can be viewed using either an Internet browser or any networked PAL/NTSC monitor with supplied decoder software. Pricing for the R VIP-T video server starts at $1,740.
