Within the MULTI software development environment for Motorola's M-CORE family of 32-bit embedded processors, users will find a source-level debugger, C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker and instruction-set simulator. The environment is available now for the M200 processor with an M300 version to become available when the new chip is shipping. The MULTI environment automates all aspects of M-CORE software development, including editing, source-level debugging, program building, execution profiling, version control and run-time error checking. The environment's instruction-set simulator enables programmers to develop and test code without need for the target hardware. A uniform set of capabilities for software development spans Windows 95/NT and Unix host platforms.
