Instrumentation Software Requires No Programming

The latest version of GageScope instrumentation software requires no programming, yet is said to allow engineers to enhance the capabilities of their existing GPIB-enabled oscilloscopes and waveform generators. With GageScope 3.0, users can apply the power of desktop and notebook PCs to connect together instruments from different vendors, view data from multiple DSOs on the same screen, enhance effective resolution of DSOs, create signals using advanced equations, and perform advanced analysis on captured or created signals.
Data can be shared, archived and printed, and an infinite number of setups and signals can be stored and loaded. And all of this reportedly can be done without writing a single line of programming code or drawing any diagrams.
PCI- and ISA-bus-based instruments are controlled through direct register-level commands, while all instruments external to the PC are controlled via the GPIB or IEEE-488 interface. The software provides built-in support for most popular DSOs and AWGs, such as those from Gage, Tektronix, Agilent and LeCroy. Both Standard ($495) and Professional ($995) editions are available. The latter includes powerful analysis capabilities, such as 4-million-point FFTs.
