The Platform for Medical Devices from Green Hills Software now incorporates Secure Guest OS Virtualization support for the Integrity real-time operating system (RTOS). It’s designed to reduce the cost and risk for Class II and Class III medical product approval, premarket notification for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) 510(k), or the more stringent Premarket Approval (PMA) process. This version also has suport for Texas Instruments’ OMAP3 and ARM’s Cortex A8 plus wireless supplicant support (WPA/WPA2), a partitionable journaling file system (PJFS), enhanced wear leveling for flash file systems, an expanded TCP/IP v4/v6 networking stack with security protocol support and networking applications, and an enhanced USB host stack.
