Defined as the industry’s first merchant stackable software product for VxWorks and Linux integrated on Broadcom StrataXGS silicon, the FASTPATH 4000 IP software is based on the company’s Distributed Architecture technology. The architecture enables full non-disruptive dynamic stacking with integrated management for 10/100/Gigabit stackable Ethernet switches. Additional features include standards-based Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 plus networking functions and support for single IP management, centralized control, hot plug insertion and removal, code and configuration distribution, mixed unit stacks, dual ring interconnect, and eight-unit stacks.
