The latest M-Module (M75) mezzanine card offers two channels that can be configured as full-duplex RS-422 or half-duplex RS-485 interfaces with both exhibiting data rates up to 2 Mb/s in synchronous or asynchronous modes. Configured via a front-panel connector, both channels also support the SDLC protocol. The card includes four asynchronous FIFO memory queues, each with a memory depth of 2 KB in both directions and support for simultaneous read/write operations. When deployed in VMEbus or CompactPCI systems, the card also supports RS-232 or TTL. Software support is via drivers for Windows, Linux, VxWorks, QNX, RTX, and OS-9. Single-unit price is $594.
