Providing a wide range of options including web configuration and AT commands, the company's latest 802.11 wireless LAN processor modules promise to speed and ease Wi-Fi transitions for machine-to-machine (M2M) designers. For cellular and fixed-line modem applications, comprehensive AT commands are available that allow configuration and connection to wireless access points. Users can further customize and integrate additional commands emulating other connection devices. For web and Internet designs, a web configuration page option allows configuration of the WLAN in situ. The page includes features such as a local scan of access points. The modules come pre-loaded with a standard configuration page, which developers may customize. They also include an advanced scripting engine for writing programmable scripts. A default configuration script, accessible from the M2M application, automatically connects to an access point and middleware. All configuration options are accessible from free development tools available on the company’s website. Other features include a pre-approved 802.11b/g radio, industrial WLAN drivers and TCP/IP stack, UART interface, integrated or external antenna, secure WEP, WPA, and WPA2 implementation, and Bluetooth coexistence plus co-location support.
