Established as an interactive, PC-based design and test application that requires no programming, SignalExpress is now available in a Tektronix Edition for the DPO4000 series digital phosphor oscilloscopes (see the cover of this issue) and AFG3000 series waveform generators. Via USB plug-and-play connectivity, the software immediately detects the scope or generator and, with one mouse click, users can configure the instrument while accessing a live view of the captured waveform and generated signals. In addition, they can use the drag-and-drop configuration environment. Access is provided to more than 200 measurement, processing, analysis, and reporting capabilities, as well signal sources from USB, GPIB, and Ethernet/LAN interfaces. Other features include automated sweeping and limit testing functions. The base version ships standard with the DPO4000 series. Users can upgrade to the Professional version for advanced signal processing, analysis, documentation, and connectivity to more than 300 stand-alone and modular benchtop instruments.
