Measuring just 1.2" x 2.75" x 0.5", the latest member of the Tattletale Flash eXpress family of embedded data logger/controllers packs a wealth of features, such as 2 MB of flash EEPROM. The TFX-11v2 provides 19 analog channels, 11 of which have a 12-bit resolution and the remaining eight, an 8-bit resolution. Its 24 digital lines consist of 16 bi-directional lines and eight input-only lines. Minimum current draw is less than 100 µA in low-power mode and 150 mA maximum when operational. Other features include a sampling rate up to 6.4 kHz and two UARTs. The data logger is based on Motorola’s 68HC11 and Microchip’s PIC 16F873A processors. The device can be programmed with the company’s Windows-based TFTools integrated development environment using TFBASIC, available in the TFX development kit. The TFX-11v2 is priced at $275 each and the TFX development kit is $195. ONSET COMPUTER CORP., Bourne, MA. (800) 564-4377.
