The latest Distributed Programmable Automation Controller, the DPAC-1000, is specifically designed for remote data-acquisition systems with up to four serial communication ports (RS-232 or RS-485). The intelligent remote data-acquisition controller can collect data from both digital sensors—such as discrete I/O modules, pressure sensors, and temperature sensors—and analog I/O modules up to 4000 ft. away. The controller is rated for use in high-shock settings of up to 100G. The DPAC-1000 works with the company’s NuDAM modules via standard serial communication ports. The controller also provides a wide dc input range of 10 to 30 V, in addition to featuring a front control panel for system integrators to design their own user control interface. Typical factory applications include water monitoring, UPS monitoring in a fabrication facility, and boiler leakage detection. ADLINK TECHNOLOGY INC., Taipei, Taiwan. 888-2-82265877.
