To ensure a product's success, it is vital for manufacturers to bring compact, feature-rich mobile telephones to market more quickly and easily than ever before. The Compact Phones Development Lab has emerged to aid handset manufacturers in those development efforts. With this complete wireless-technology solution, designers should be able to keep pace with shorter product-development timelines. They gain access to a suite of software, hardware, development tools, and services that combines ease of integration with design flexibility.

Essentially, this solution lets developers pick and choose from a wide range of features and functionalities. Examples include 64-Mb NAND Flash storage, USB connectivity, Wap2.0, and xHTML. They can even select from multiple interfaces as well, such as integrated YUV cameras; MMS and picture-management applications; 262K-color LCD screens; 64-tone polyphonic ringers; and Java applications.

The solution also contains an Open MMI development tool. Open MMI is a comprehensive, Windows-based tool. It provides a quick and easy way for manufacturers to develop or customize user interfaces. Such interfaces can then be re-used on future products, reducing time to market even further.

The Compact Phones Development Lab solution is now available. Contact the company directly for details on pricing information.
