A range of enhancements to the QNX Momentics IDE 4 development tool makes multicore application debugging easier (see figure). The latest IDE also supports QNX Adaptive Partitioning, a secure compartmentalization feature of the QNX real-time operating system. Developers can graphically adjust system aspects such as the CPU budget for a task. The trace system provides advanced filtering mechanisms. The memory analysis tool has a record-and-play feature for optimizing long-term memory usage. Momentics is based on the Eclipse Callisto CDT C/C++ development tools.
