The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has certified Apex Digital Inc.’s DT250 ATSC analog pass-through converter box to participate in the government’s coupon program. The box incorporates the SupraHD 741 processor design from Zoran Corp. The Coupon-Eligible Converter Box program supports the conversion of U.S. television broadcasts from analog to digital technology. The DT250 is now available at Best Buy stores and will be available at other retail outlets soon.

“We are very pleased to receive NTIA certification for our DT250 converter box supporting analog pass-through,” said M. Jeannie Vogler, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Apex Digital Inc. “We appreciate Zoran’s strong support, which has enabled us to obtain four NTIA certified models in four months. Now, Apex is equipped with a full product line for rapid delivery to our retail customers. And we expect that consumers will be pleased with these easy-to-use, affordable converter boxes.”
