A code-domain multiple access (W-CDMA) power measurement software tool is available to assist developers of third-generation base stations. The software, when used with the firm's HP 89400 series vector signal analyzer, can verify base station transmission for correct coding for all symbol rates. This software is part of a beta program, and once standards stabilize, the firm plans to incorporate the software within the vector signal analyzer.
