A compiler, assembler, locate utility and 16-bit integrated debugger and editor are all included within the Paradigm C++ integrated development environment (IDE). Running under Windows 95/98/NT, the tools enable users to create embedded systems based on the x86 microprocessor family.All stages of development and debugging are supported by the environment, from creating an application to burning EPROMs. Programmers can write code in C, C++ or assembly language, view objects and functions, debug code, and compile- all within the IDE. Target connections can be made "on the fly" from within the IDE. Developers can choose between debugging stand-alone targets or debugging with optional in- circuit emulator integration. Other options include version control system integration, RTOS support, and PDREMOTE/ROM and run-time library source code for customizing assistance.
