A low-cost programmer designed for use with the company's field-programmable frequency timing generators comes with a complete support kit (part-number CY3670), allowing designers to specify and program custom frequency timing generators (FTGs) in less than 30 minutes. The frequency for up to four independent frequency sources can be configured. The programmer provides three phase-locked loops (PLLs) that can be quickly configured. The clock generators have custom suspend and shutdown options that allow the user to activate and deactivate selected resources or the entire chip. The devices can be programmed for either 5V or 3.3V operation. In addition to the support kit, mass programming support is available for the field-programmable FTGs from BP Microsystems and Data I/O systems. The programmer is available directly from the company's web site.
