The Evaluation and Software Development Kit is designed to help engineers develop applications software and evaluate the firm's forth coming FingerLoc Personal Identification System, which is reported to be the world's first silicon-based sub-surface fingerprint identification product. The firm's e-field identification technology can read beneath the surface layer of the skin to the living layer, where the true fingerprint begins. At this fingerprint level, the reading is unaffected by dirt, calluses or dryness. The fingerprint reading development kit consists of a standalone PC peripheral with an RS-232 serial interface. It includes development software with APIs, a user's guide and programmer's reference manual, and a PC applications demo featuring Windows log-in, file encryption and password bank. The development kit costs $4595, with additional sensors costing $125.
