The WebPad reference platform has been designed to provide OEMs with a starting point for developing Internet access type devices. The platform plus the company's Intelligent Systems Software are said to greatly accelerate the process of converting a new product concept into a successful prototype. The reference platform is a portable wireless Internet appliance that may be used to browse the Internet as well as to send and retrieve e-mail. Even though the WebPad is targeted for home and business use, its wireless architecture lends itself to applications in hundreds of different portable and remote devices.
