Specified for 3V operation, the TSOP34838SS1A infrared (IR) receiver module is capable of operating on voltages down to 2.4V at a distance of up to 35m. The device integrates both a photo detector and preamplifier in a package measuring merely 6.95 mm

Specified for 3V operation, the TSOP34838SS1A infrared (IR) receiver module is capable of operating on voltages down to 2.4V at a distance of up to 35m. The device integrates both a photo detector and preamplifier in a package measuring merely 6.95 mm x 6 mm snd 5.6 mm in height. The device also integrates an AGC that is capable of suppressing a wide range of light-source disturbances an integrated band filter that accommodates PCM operation. In addition to holding the componrnt together, the receiver’s epoxy package acts as an IR filter. Other features include a maximum data rate up to 1 kb/s with a burst length of equal-to or greater-than 10 cycles per burst.
