Targeting military applications, the FC-75000 dual-channel Fibre Channel network interface controllers (NICs) operate at speeds up to 2 Gb/s and are conduction cooled for use at temperatures from -40°C to +85° C. The NICs employ a dual redundant architecture and are available with a transformer-coupled copper interface with front-panel connections, PMC rear connections, or a fiber-optic interface. Other features of the controllers include implicit login, priority message scheduling, and compliance with ASM and FC/AE-1553 aviation protocols found in ANSI Fibre Channel for Avionics Environments (FC-AE). Initial operating system support is for VxWorks; support for other OSs is forthcoming. DATA DEVICE CORP., Bohemia, NY. (631) 567-5600.
