For server blade and embedded computing applications, the IPnexus CPC6600 Ethernet switch provides Layer 2 and Layer 3-Gb Ethernet to every slot in a PICMG 2.16 chassis. The switch can function either as the core of a blade server chassis or as a stand-alone device in an embedded chassis. It provides users with 24 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet ports with multiple configuration options and dual 44-Gb/s switching fabrics for wire speed Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing. Other features include real-time continuous integrity checks that eliminate latent system failures, rapid spanning tree, link aggregation, and jumbo frame support.
