Boosting the performance of its MIC-3351 predecessor, the MIC-3318 CompactPCI controller card exploits the power of a Pentium 4-M processor with a 400 MHz system bus, 512 KB of L2 cache, and support for DDR memory plus up to two Ultra ATA 33/66/100

Boosting the performance of its MIC-3351 predecessor, the MIC-3318 CompactPCI controller card exploits the power of a Pentium 4-M processor with a 400 MHz system bus, 512 KB of L2 cache, and support for DDR memory plus up to two Ultra ATA 33/66/100 IDE drives. The card includes an Intel 845GV graphics chipset, two serial ports supporting RS-232/422/485, two USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and a compact flash port. The rear panel provides two more USB ports and single Ethernet, VGA, PS/2, and serial interfaces. Also unveiled by the company are the MIC-3753 and MIC-3780 CompactPCI I/O cards. The MIC-3753 is a 72-bit digital I/O card that emulates mode 0 of the 8255 PPI chip and includes buffered circuits that provide high-drive capabilities. Its 72 I/O lines yield nine 8-bit I/O ports, configurable as inputs or outputs via software. Described as a general-purpose, multi-channel counter/timer card, the MIC-3780 provides eight 16-bit counter channels, eight digit! al outputs, and eight digital inputs. Custom counter functions for industry and laboratory applications are also available for the card. ADVANTECH CORP., Cincinnati, OH. (513) 742-8895.
