The KSD2-GW2-PRO Profibus gateway for remote process interface (RPI) employs a field-tested architecture and features an integrated HART multiplexer in the same size package as the company's original Profibus DP gateway. This approach allows users to simplify their RPI installations and integrate HART functionality without additional wiring or barriers. The design allows HART signals to group within the gateway by way of a power rail connection and HART-capable barriers. The signals then return to the system via their own RS-485 line.
