Claiming to surpass the USB data acquisition speed barrier, the Personal Daq/3000 series debuts as the industry’s first 1-MHz/16-bit multifunction USB devices that provide a wide variety of analog, digital, and frequency I/O. Three models in the series provide a wealth of features. These include the following: a 1-MHz/16-bit a/d converter; eight differential or 16 single-ended analog inputs, with seven programmable input ranges from ±100 mV to ±10V full scale; 1-MHz/16-bit analog outputs; 24 digital I/O lines; four counter inputs capable of measuring frequency, period, pulse width or quadrature encoders up to 20 MHz; two timer outputs; and synchronous I/O, where all analog inputs and outputs, digital I/O, and counter/timer I/O can occur synchronously. Software includes DaqView 8.0 and support for VisualBasic, VisualBasic. NET, Visual C++, Visual C#, and LabVIEW. Single-unit prices range from $899 to $1,099. IOTECH INC., Cleveland, OH.
