Embarking as the smallest Intel/Marvel Monahans P system on module (SOM), the TRITON-290 crams an 806-MHz PXA290 processor, 64 MB of SDRAM, and 128 MB of flash memory into a 67.6 mm x 26 mm x 4.2 mm package. The module employs a 200-pin SODIMM connector and operates over an extended temperature range from –25°C to +85°C. Operating from a single 3.3V to 5V supply, it consumes 2 mW in sleep mode and includes a programmable CPU power supply that promises minimum power consumption while maintaining processor performance. Other features include RoHS compliance, 16-bit multiplexed external memory interface, and a DS1339 real-time clock. A complete development kit running Linux 2.6.17 and Windows CE 5.0 is available.
