Described as the market’s first complete mobile WiMAX RF front-end module, the M30001 sets up in a single 7 mm x 7 mm x 1.2 mm QFN package, a footprint that allows integration of WiMAX interfaces with other wireless and computing functions into products such as PCI Express, USB and handsets. Said to provide exceptional attenuation in the UMTS transmit/receive bands, the module delivers 24 dBm of output power at 4% error vector magnitude. It is compatible with MIMO and antenna diversity configurations using a 1 x 2 architecture. The M3001 is expected to be widely available in March 2007. JACKET MICRO DEVICES INC., Atlanta, GA.
