Providing front-end power for current-gen Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) cards, the dual-input ATC210 debuts as the industry's smallest such bus converter. The component measures 2.3" x 1.8" and renders a typical full load efficiency of 89% while exhibiting a power density in excess of 60 W/in.3. Rated at 210W, the bus converter has dual inputs, each ranging from -36V to 72V, and two independent, isolated dc outputs. The main 12V output delivers up to 17.5A, and a secondary output provides up to 1.8A at 3.13V to 3.47V. Other features include an I2C bus, direct high-speed interfaces, input ORing, inrush control, and transient protection. Price is $148 each/1,000. EMERSON NETWORK POWER, St. Louis, MO.
