The VLX for Network Infrastructure software allows users to easily and rapidly migrate from single-core to multi-core processors, such as the Intel CoreT2 Duo Processor E6400 and Core2T Duo Processor T7400. This migration provides the ability to run commercial or proprietary real-time operating systems and Linux simultaneously on the same multi-core processor. It also supports the use of preferred operating systems, which can run unmodified on the Intel Core Microarchitecture. Hardware is consolidated via multiple heterogeneous operating systems that are able to co-exist on a single platform. In addition, porting efforts are eliminated and the need to re-validate existing software is significantly reduced. VIRTUALLOGIX INC., Sunnyvale, CA. (408) 954-7350.
