    Operating with conduction cooling and providing differential digital I/O, the PMC-CX series user-configurable FPGA modules consists of four models supporting Xilinx Virtex-II FPGAs with either 11k or 24k logic cells. They offer a choice of 32 differential RS-422/-485 lines or 24 RS-422/-485 lines with 16 CMOS I/O channels. Each model features a PCI interface with 32-bit/66-MHz bus mastering and support for dual DMA channel data transfers to the CPU. The PMC-CX1000 models come with an XC2V1000 FPGA offering 11,500 logic cells, while the PMC-CX2000 models employ an XC2V2000 with 24,192 logic cells. The CX2000 models also feature 56 18 x 18 embedded multipliers and 12 digital clock managers. For development support, a design kit is available that includes a compiled FPGA file and example VHDL code as selectable blocks with examples for the local bus interface, read/writes, and change-of-state interrupts to the PCI bus.
