The latest versions of Nexxim high-capacity circuit simulation software and Designer integrated schematic and design management software include additional statistical analysis and transient simulation capabilities. These enhancements promise to rapidly simulate high-speed serial channel behavior and eliminate prototype iterations. Nexxim v4 now includes VerifEye, a unique methodology for eye analysis of serial links using statistical methods that maintain accuracy while offering significant reductions in run time. Other added features include QuickEye fast eye diagram analysis method that allows input of very long, user-defined bit streams, and mixed system-level behavioral simulation with transistor-level transient simulation. Designer v4 features adds a push excitation feature and enhanced dynamic links to Nexxim and to the company's electromagnetic field simulation tools: HFSS, SIwave, and Q3D Extractor. Both applications operate under Windows XP Professional, Server 2003, and Vista Business. A release for Linux and Solaris will be available shortly.
