Providing front-panel I/O routing or network switching applications in industrial, commercial, government, telecommunications, and defense applications, the NETernity RM983RC VME Ethernet Switch in a 6U form factor supports 12 or 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports. It ships with the Linux-based OpenWare Lite switch management environment, enabling configuration from a serial console or via the network. Capable of Layer-2 switching at wire speed, the RM983RC’s 12 or 24 ports route to front panel I/O and can be 10/100/1000 Base-T, 1000 Base-SX, or 1000 Base-LX.
