Pumped for hostile environments, the RuffSystem 735 enlists a 1.6-GHz Atom processor and the company’s Extreme Rugged boards within a system having no moving parts. The system can reportedly run reliably for years with absolutely zero maintenance. It features up to 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, an Intel GMA 950 graphics core supporting display resolutions up to 2,048 x 1,536 at 75Hz, one Gigabit and one Fast Ethernet port, four USB 2.0 ports, stereo audio, four serial ports (two supporting RS-232/-422/-485), and a parallel port. Storage is via a SATA interface and a CompactFlash socket. The system also provides expansion with a PCI Express Mini Card slot and PC/104-Plus interface.
