Designed for home and business security alarm systems, the V92HM4-RC embedded dial-up modem modules support Ademco’s DTMF Contact ID protocol published by the Security Industry Association.  Utilizing standard DTMF tones, via proper AT commands, an alarm system with an HM4 modem inside can transmit an emergency signal to a monitoring station, which then generates a kiss-off tone telling the communicator the tone has been received. After the kiss-off, the modem restores the telephone line for standard voice communications. Measuring 1” x 1” x 0.2”, the modems integrate a data pump, modem controller, and on-board International DAA. Price for the V92HM4-RC begins at $39.00 each/1,000. RADICOM RESEARCH INC., San Jose, CA.
