For upgrading HVD SCSI systems to SATA without replacing system infrastructures, Paralan offers the 250-GB SHD-250 and 500-GB SHD-500 3.5” HVD SCSI hard drives. Both are factory-configurable to appear like smaller capacity drives for systems with lower maximum drive capacities. For systems with limited storage bandwidth, any of the SHD drives are available in a range of storage capacities matching the capacity of an existing (target) system. Prices for the SHD-250 and the SHD-500 start at $495 and $595 each, respectively. Paralan Corp., San Diego, CA. (800) 482-3093.
