Rugged Atom System Has Wireless Option

ADLINK Technology's I/O rich, fanless MXE-1200 runs a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor with up to 2 Gbytes of DDR2 memory.

ADLINK Technology released its I/O rich, fanless MXE-1200 (Fig. 1) rugged system. The 210 mm by 170 mm by 54 mm system has operating range of -20°C to 70°C and it can 5 Grms vibration resistance. It runs off a 6-36 VDC power supply.

The MXE-1200 runs a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor with up to 2 Gbytes of DDR2 memory. Storage options include one of the following: 320 Gbyte SATA hard drive, 32 Gbyte solid state drive (SSD), and an industrial 8 Gbyte SSD. Two of the 12 COM ports can be configured for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 via a BIOS settings. The others are fixed based on the model ordered.

Expansion is handled via a mini-PCIe socket and a USIM socket. There is an SMA-to-IPEX antenna cable installed to support wireless communication.

The MXE-1200 pricing starts at $828.
