ZigBee Module Keeps A Low Profile

EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, MAY 2011 – Measuring 20% to 50% smaller than comparable offerings, the ZPM3570 2.4-GHz ZigBee Pro module is less than 0.63 square inches in area, yet provides a complete ZigBee PRO solution including a chip antenna and 1 MB of flash memory. The module employs Ember’s EM357 ZigBee RFIC and is coupled with a power amplifier and a low noise amplifier. It delivers a 250-kb/s RF data rate with +20 dBm (100 mW) of RF power coupled with a receive sensitivity of -103 dBm. Also, the ZPM3570DK development kit will be available in mid-June.
