Complete with an Ethernet PHY and six serial ports with auto RS-485 provision, EMAC’s fanless SoM-9X25 system-on-module (SoM) supports a wide temperature range
Complete with an Ethernet PHY and six serial ports with auto RS-485 provision, EMAC’s fanless SoM-9X25 system-on-module (SoM) supports a wide temperature range. The ARM9 400-MHz SoM uses up to 4 Gbytes of embedded multimedia card (eMMC) memory, 16 Mbytes of serial data flash, and up to 128 Mbytes of DDR2 RAM. It’s designed to plug into a carrier board that contains all connectors and any custom I/O required for the application, facilitating board customization. It also can be obtained off-the-shelf from the company (SoM-150ES is recommended), allowing users to immediately start coding applications using Linux or WinCE. All of the ARM processor core is contained—flash, memory, serial ports, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, I2S, audio, CAN 2.0B, SDIO, PWMs, timer/counters, ADCs, etc.—within a 2.66- by 1.5-in., 144-pin SODIMM. EMAC furnishes a free Eclipse IDE for Linux development, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008 can be used to develop Windows CE 6.0 applications.EMAC INC.
