With power and cooling for up to 600 W per blade, Artesyn’s Centellis 8000 series AdvancedTCA (ATCA) system can accommodate full payloads of high-performance ATCA blades. It supports the company’s System Services Framework (SSF) software—a centralized management software suite that configures and monitors software and hardware components in a single shelf or multiple ATCA shelves. The system also supports the company’s FlowPilot software for advanced load balancing and packet classification, directing traffic flow to individual payload processors for further processing. Designed for standard 19-in. rack mounting, the 18U-high (798 mm) system features a 40 Gigabit Ethernet dual-star fabric interface and 14 blade slots. Among the 14 are two switching slots that can integrate Artesyn’s 40G ATCA-F140 switching and system-management blade. A pre-certified range of application-ready configurations of the Centellis 8000 series for NEBS Level 3 helps save development time and cost. The ATCA system can be deployed in existing networks as well as software-defined networks (SDNs) and network functions virtualization (NFV) deployments. Also, ac and dc versions suit the platform for telecom central offices, network data centers, and enterprise data centers.
