Maxim Integrated’s Wellness Platform provides power and battery management, digital processing, integrated sensors, ultra-low-power communications, and security for wearable medical applications. The flexible and scalable platform includes the MAX32600 microcontroller unit (MCU), a highly integrated ARM Cortex-M3 low-power MCU with high-precision analog performance. A Trust Protection Unit provides security with onboard public key authentication, data encryption, and tamper detection. A configurable analog front-end (AFE) includes high current LED drivers and facilities multiple wellness metric measurements, including heart rate monitoring (HRM) and galvanic skin response (GSR).

The Wellness Platform also includes: MAX14676, a tiny power- and battery- management solution, MAX21100, a monolithic 3-axis gyroscope plus 3-axis accelerometer inertial measurement unit (IMU), MAX30100, a fully integrated optical biosensor that combines two LEDs, a photodetector, optimized optics, and a low-noise analog front end, and MAX66242, a secure authenticator dual interface tag IC that combines an ISO front end with an I2C circuit block on a single chip.
