Members of the ProASIC Plus family of flash-based FPGAs are the first FPGAs to meet the full Mil-Std-883B screening for use in military applications. They were tested and verified to operate over the full military temperature range of −55°C to 125°C. Three packaging and screening options are available: military-temperature plastic, military-temperature hermetic, and hermetic packaging fully screened to Mil-Std-883B. Developed by Actel Corp., the APA300, 600, and 1000 offer densities from 300,000 to 1 million system gates; memory capacities from 72 to 198 kbits of dual-port SRAM; and from 158 to 712 user I/O pads. In lots of 5000 units, the prices for the mil-temp plastic version start at $290, while the hermetic package version starts at $510 and the full 883B screened devices start at $860 each.
