Available as a single-chip flash disk module, the new DimmDrive WED7GxxxATA33 is available in densities from 16 MB to 768 MB in a 144-pin SODIMM package. Based on SanDisk NAND flash technology, the module employs 128 Mb, 256 Mb, 512 Mb or 1 Gb memory devices to achieve maximum density. A SanDisk flash chipset controller interface allows the host computer to issue commands to read or write blocks of memory and also provides automatic power management and clock control.
