Based on 0.15 µm process technology, the LightFlash family of flash memories offers basic code storage functions and is optimized for digital consumer and peripheral applications. The devices can be reprogrammed in-system up to 10,000 times. The M29KW016E, M29KW032E and M29KW064E with 16 Mb, 32 Mb, and 64 Mb densities, respectively, are organized as x16 memories, divided into 8, 16 and 32 independently erasable 2 Mb blocks, respectively. Features common to each family member include read operations that can be performed using a single supply from 2.7V to 3.6V and program and erase operations requiring an additional 11.4V to 12.6V power supply. The M29KW016E costs $1.60 each/1,000. For more details, call STMICROELECTRONICS, INC., Lexington, MA. (781) 861-2650.
