Packing 32 MB organized as 8M x 32, the W78M32V-XBX flash memory chip is designed for high-performance processors and memory controllers in embedded and high-reliability applications. Access times can be set for 70, 90, 100 and 120 ns. It has zero latency between read and write operations and data can be read continuously from one bank while executing erase or program operations in another bank. Page mode access time is 25 ns. The memory is capable of 1,000,000 erase/program cycles per sector. The flexible bank architecture (4 banks) provides up to two simultaneous operations per device. It operates from a single 3.3V supply and offers I/O voltage options of 1.8V and 3.3V.It comes in a 159-pin plastic ball grid array (PBGA) that occupies 286 mm2. Commercial and industrial temperature ranges are available. Price is $160 each/1,000. WHITE ELECTRONIC DESIGNS CORP., Phoenix, AZ. (602) 437-1520.
