Well suited for OEMs and end users, these memory modules for Compaq's AlphaServer DS10 System offer improved performance to support the next-generation Alpha 466-MHz 64-bit processor. AlphaServer systems are designed to run Unix and Linux operating systems for advanced engineering applications, simulations, Internet transactions and resource planning. Pricing from the firm on the memory modules is said to be up to 80% less than OEM pricing.
The line of memory modules provides capabilities ranging from 256 Mbytes of ECC SDRAM up to 2 GB. Available in several configurations, the modules range in price from $500 each for the CMX-DS10-256 to $4500 each for the CMX-DS10-1GB. The CMX-DS10-512 costs $1500.
