Based on IBM technology, a new PC 133 64-Mb DRAM is now available from Nanya Technology Corp. As part of a strategic agreement for both technology licensing and product supply between the companies, IBM provides Nanya with its 64- and 256-Mb DRAM designs, as well as its 0.20- and 0.175-micron process technology and allows the company to sell this technology under its own name brand. The DRAM is available in 8 x 16 x 14 configurations for PC networking and server applications. Nanya also plans to introduce a 128-Mb DRAM family based on its own internal design.
