EEPROMs Expand Density, Shrink Package

In TSSOP8 housings measuring 4.5 mm x 3.1 mm or in 150-mm SO8 packages, the M95512 and M24512 pack 512 Kb of serial EEPROM. The M95512 is compatible with the SPI bus and operates at frequencies up to10 MHz and above with a 5-ms write time. Otherwise identical, the M24512 includes an I2C serial interface with a 400-kHz clock rate. Both devices operate in two voltage ranges of 1.8V to 5.5V and 2.5V to 5.5V and in temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. Minimum data retention is 40 years and write endurance is 100,000 cycles.
