Designed for consumer applications, the EDD5116AFTA and EDD5108AFTA integrate 512 Mb of DDR DRAM, organized as either 32M words x 16-bits or 64M words x 8-bits. The devices employ 90-nm process technology to reduce power consumption by up to 30%. The devices operate at speeds up to 400 Mb/s (CL=3) and can transfer data at speeds up to 1.6 GB/s when using two, each with a x16 configuration. This is said to make the devices ideal candidates for applications requiring high-resolution graphics. The devices are available in RoHS compliant, 66-pin TSOP II packages with a commercial operating temperature range. For further information and pricing, call ELPIDA MEMORY INC., Santa Clara, CA.
