While supporting existing DDR3-800, DDR3-1066, and DDR3-1333 standards, the INSSTE32882 lays claim to being the first configurable integrated register, JEDEC-compliant, DDR3 device. A member of the ExacTik family of timing devices, the chip also claims to exhibit the lowest propagation delay in the industry. Typical propagation delay is 0.7 ns, which is below the JEDEC proposed specification of 1 ns. Additionally, since the buffer meets DDR3-800 to DDR3-1600 rates, it allows memory vendors to use a single register for all of the four speed grades. Pricing starts at $5.80 each/2,000.
