At a density of 32 Mbytes, SiliconTech's latest Miniature Card is claimed to be the highest-capacity flash memory card in its form factor. The card incorporates Intel's Strataflash multilevel-cell memory architecture and µBGA chip-sized packaging. By providing Strataflash chips in this package, the card delivers the ability to store both digital program code and data.Strataflash multilevel-cell technology allows two bits of information to be stored in a single memory cell, doubling the memory density within the same silicon area. The flash chips are up to 80% smaller than comparable TSOP or SSOP devices. The card operates at 5V, is specified for 100,000 program/erase cycles, and features 150-ns accesses.
